Hawaii, esp. Honolulu is a tough gig to score, because EVERYONE wants to work there. Most agencies will dick you around about it just to keep you on board, but its rare to get it as a first time assignment. I'm not saying it's impossible, but if they have travelers with seniority that want it, they get dibs. Do you have a plan b? I'm in Portland, OR right now and it's pretty awesome. My contract runs out end of May and I'm trying to extend it, if not my second choice is Seattle. I did look at Hawaii, but the license fee killed that idea for now. Is it just me, or does every agency seem fixated on California and Arizona? Everytime I tell my recruiter what I want she goes "Great! I'll work on it, but I have jobs right now in LA and Phoenix!" It drives me crazy. Anyways, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

You're so right. These agencies are ALWAYS talking about LA and Arizona. "Wow, you could make such great money in Arizona!" Ummm... What the hell would I want to go there for?!? I;m getting to the point that I am desperate to go just about anywhere. I am with 2 agencies right now- cross country and nursefinders. Nursefinders has a MUCH better deal. They give you a rental car and $3000 a month for housing, although you have to find your own. Cross Country does not give you a car. Did you drive all the way out there from SC??? Which company did you go with? My recruiter said that she will find something for me hopefully by the end of this week. Seattle in the summer would be fucking awesome! I have thought about there. My back up plan was Miami but it takes like 2 months to obtain a license so who knows... If you went to to Seattle, I would go too. At least I'd know someone there and have someone to hang with. They have a goth/industrial scene which I know you're kinda into. I'm sure they have a metal scene as well. ;)
