Disappointment often leads to delight. Or at least more disappointment.
Did you ever notice that just after you bitch about something you've found, you will find more of it? I unearthed six more BoF fangames in various states of 'in progress', ranging from concept screens to finished.
Most of them are still in some way completely terrible. One of them included Megaman as a character. What? WRY U DO DIS, FANDOM?
Two promising projects in the bunch though: A 'sequel' to BoFII involving political machinations and the Black Clan can I get a HELL YEAH being...uh...more like their BoF selves than BoFII, but whatever, and the most fabulous above-ground recreation of Dologany evar. Like a ten minute demo; I still have plenty of time to be disappointed. But it looks so nice.
Also a 'remake' of BoFII that appears to be actually dedicated to completely recreating the combat engines and everything, which is pretty cool, and is also dedicated to properly translating the script, which is SUPER cool, and promises to include Ray as a playable character which OH MY GOD DOES THAT MEAN I DON'T HAVE TO KILL HIM AND CRY LIKE A LITTLE GIRL I LOVE YOU FOREVER. No demo on that, but a lot of videos.
Somehow, this only feeds my desire to do one of my own, even as I acknowledge what a terrible idea that probably is.
And I'm sure no one but me cares about any of this. I need a 'disregard this I'm drinking' tag.
