I exist. And I rule.

So I quit the horrible job I took. Just like that. Quit. Mostly because they were expecting me to deal with special needs kids in a summer camp, along with other ridiculous issues. Just for fun, here's the rundown:

*Kid who is full-blown schizo/bipolar. Has halluciations. Parents refuse to pick up.
*Kid who was molested at a very young age, so relates to other children in the same manner. Has never had social worker case or therapy of any kind. Social worker doesn't understand why this kid is a liability.
*Kid with so many emotional/behavioral issues parents lie in order to dump kid on us for summer. Deep joy.
*All other kids are locals from the ghetto (i.e., very poor) or from Cherry Creek (i.e., rich fuckers). Insert fight over iPod here.
*Micromanaging boss-lady insists that all children (13 of them, between 11 and 14) must be entertained 8 hours a day. No free time. And they must all agree on the same activity. No splitting the group.
*Although I had a co-worker, I must do all shopping for camp activities. On the weekend.
*Even with repeated asking, supervisor wouldn't provide me with a list of Aurora parks and pools. I must research on my own time.
*Also, I did all the programming for the summer. Just me. Although my boss said that co-worker was feeling "left out" and wanted to do programming. Well, now's your chance.

So, yeah. Quit. Done. Decided to start selling my cute homemade jewelry. And guess what? I had a gallery show at the last First Friday, and I'm going to have an article in this week's Rocky Mountain News (July 3rd, to be precise). Go me!
