Seeing an entry of
rubygloomrox reminded me that I was going to rave about "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." It's hilarious in a totally absurd, wacky, raunchy, ridiculous kind of way. If you liked the other Apatow movies he's been punting out in the last couple of years, you'll love this one. I laughed so damn hard at a couple of spots near the end that my throat was still raspy the next evening.
OH! And
brain_o_shaner totally missed it, but there was a non-speaking cameo of Gedde Watanabe as the hotel manager at the hotel's front desk. If you're our age OR really love "Sixteen Candles," you'll remember him as Long Duk Dong.
So many cameos. There was the doctor played by "Fish" from "Barney Miller," Jack McBrayer who plays the innocent page, Kenneth, on NBC's comedy "30 Rock" as a newlywed who has issues with the "kinky" interests of his new bride, Jason Bateman from (most recently) "Arrested Development," and William Baldwin as a sleazy character in a t.v. show (heee).
Another cameo was Dwayne, the bartender, played by Native American Branscombe Richmond. This guy has been around forever in bit parts in stuff as old as "Six Million Dollar Man" or as recent as "Desperate Housewives." Also bit parts in big movies like "Commando," "Action Jackson," and "Batman Returns." He probably looked familiar to me from alllll the t.v. stuff he's done, but also because he had a bit part in "Star Trek III" OR from lol "Renegade," that old bad t.v. show with Lorenzo Llamas which I admit to having once watched. LOL
