Thanksgiving in France is strange. Yes, it doesn't exist, but it's bizarre because random French people in my life - who know that I'm American - have just been causually greeting me with, "Happy Thanksgiving" (imagine this being said with a French accent, mind you) all day long. Happy Thanksgiving mon ami!

In terms of the decorations, Nantes sounds like the mall, heh. Pretty much ever since I started working, it's been Christmas decorations, and of course, tomorrow (retail employees' DEATH Friday) will be huge Christmas sales. They're probably not half as cool as the ones in Nantes.

I keep forgetting that today is Black Friday ... which also means that I probably can't call you since you're be busy dealing with customers. OMG, I'm surrounded by French nerds again ..; this dumbass was totally leaning on my chair and he keeps bumping into me and it is so, SO annoying, ahh!

I will try to call you after I can purchase a calling card ...

gosh, christmas time in france. i can't even fathom how awesome that would be. christmas time anywhere in europe for that matter. my friend is going to munich and prague to visit family after finals, i am so jealous! i need to get my ass to europe!!!

I will actually be in Rome for Christmas, but yes, I agree, Christmas time anywhere in Europe would be amazing! :) Munich is much fun; your friend is super lucky to be vacationing there! From your recent family developments, it sounds like you COULD be going to Italy next year .. any further news on that? :D
