Thanksgiving in France is strange. Yes, it doesn't exist, but it's bizarre because random French people in my life - who know that I'm American - have just been causually greeting me with, "Happy Thanksgiving" (imagine this being said with a French accent, mind you) all day long. It's funny, because I don't think any of my American friends have acknowledged that today is Thanksgiving, even though we are due for our second turkey dinner in less than an hour.

Celebrating this holiday here is also bizarre because this entire city has been void of Thanksgiving decorations (obviously). It's been Christmas decorations straight away since the end of October, actually. Although, I must say, given the pretty and elaborate decorations here, I have a good feeling that the Christmas season in Nantes is going to be super fun and beautiful. I guess it makes sense that the French would do it right; Nantes is quite the devout Catholic city, actually.

ANYWAY, I'm getting off tangent here. The point of this post is to say Happy Thanksgiving to my Americans. Celebrate the day well, :)
