Predestination

Heather and I finished FF 7. This was the first time I had killed Sephiroth without using Knights of the Round. Now it's time to watch the movie again.

Rather than just pose a question here, I am going to argue for the side that none of us want to believe. I thought it would be easier to reply to that way. Hopefully you will tear this argument apart. Showing contrary bible verses won't necessarily prove it false, but may just show biblical contractions.

1. God knows us and what we are to do with our lives before we are born.  -  Jeremiah 1:4-5
2. God knows who will be saved before they are born.   -   Romans 8:29-30, Revelation 17:8
3. God chooses who he wants to be saved.   -  Romans 8:29-30, Acts 9:4-6, Romans 9:18
4. God can make someone not believe.  -  John 12:37-40, Romans 9:18, Proverbs 16:4, 1 Peter 2:8
5. Those who are not saved shall be eternally punished.   -  Psalm 9:17, many other locations
Conclusion: If we are doomed to live our afterlife apart from God, there is nothing we can do about it.

I would also like to add that even if this argument was true, it would in no way mean that we as Christians should just give up our faith and stop doing God's will. This is along the same lines as if free-will didn't exist. Even if it doesn't, we can't change how we live our lives or else society (in this case the entire Christian faith) would fall apart.
