Summary: Trapped in 1981, Alex Drake has many (read: many) excuses to hit the bottle.
Notes: So, I heard this song a long time ago, and it immediately reminded me of my favorite booze hound, Alex Drake, and the precarious situation she finds herself in in series 1 of Ashes to Ashes. It's an upbeat, fun song that, while counter to the seriousness of Alex's woes, reflects her devil-may-care attitude towards all of her various "distractions" (read: wine, booze of all sorts, sex, et al). If I was in her situation and had to deal with her issues, I'd be drinking quite a bit, too, and the aim of this vid is to highlight said woes and show one of the more fun roads she travels (with company along the way) to forget her troubles. ;) As far as vidding goes, this is my first attempt at such, and while the song (and it's fastness) could be challenging at times, it was a very fun first vid to make.

I think the wait for series 2 of Ashes to Ashes is about to drive me to drink my own self. Not much longer now (ahem, Monday April 20th, 9pm, BBC One!).
