Yeah, thanks, man! And thanks for the valuable information. This is actually more than my doctor knows... then again, I tend to know more about diabetes than my doctor, and his receptionist is a real piece of work-- so I'll probably find a new doc (or just do what everyone seems to do here and just drop in at the clinic for check-ups plus have an endocrinologist). They is a good physical therapist I can be put in touch with, so that's good.

And reading up on the frozen shoulder thing, it all makes sense now. How sitting down can make my shoulder hurt, but pushing my mom around Butchart Gardens or carrying Vance on my shoulders hurts little. It's picking things up that hurts, or pushing straight out. And by "hurts" I mean almost passing out from the pain. Like you I have a high pain threshold (kinda comes with the territory, right?) and the cramping feeling can get so intense I actually get woozy and sometimes even fall over. It's weird, really.

At least I know now that I can do some stretching exercises in the meantime. I'd just like to sleep comfortably again.

The best stretching exercise is also quite simple. Basically you take a rope and put it over a pulley. Attach the pulley to the top of a doorframe and sit against the door with your back flat. Hold one end of the rope in your bad arm straight out in front of you, and use the other one to pull it upwards. Do that 20-30 times every evening and you'll at least be able to sleep.

It stretches the muscles/tendons and also warms them up which helps a lot with the pain.

I may still have my old rig. I can send it to you if you'd like.
