The Secret Cross comic is nearing "ready for public consumption" status. For your enjoyment (hopefully) here's pages 2 through 4, nice and complete, from Humanity in the Execution, the first chapter in the Secret Cross saga:
Check 'em oot here. This first chapter will appear in the UK anthology FTL, starting off in two 6-page installments. Speaking of FTL, if you go to that link, I've posted the direct link to FTL #1-- which you can read online in its entirety! Trust me, it's really damned good.
Other items of note: Friday was Sharon's birthday. How can a woman now in her late 30s still stay so gorgeous? How, I ask?? Has she been stealing my baby hearts when I haven't been looking? Sneaky wife-unit.
Vance turns 3 on Tuesday. Yes, we have a big party planned, complete with bouncy castle. How sad is it when you're too freaking busy and need to hire a party planning service? Heh. When we start using the maid service (and we probably will-- at least monthly), I think we'll have finally made it to Upper Middle Class Jerk status. Although once my shoulder is fixed, I'll be doing the lawn again. I could be a billionaire and I would still mow my own lawn. It's the prinicple of the matter, you know?
Aside from being overworked and overstressed, things are good. Drake and Vance are all ready for Kindergarten and Pre-School, respectively. We're just as excited as they are, I think.
Alrighty, back to work and family. But mostly family.
And to quote vance right now: "Daddy! Daddy! I'm laughing! I'm laughing! And look! These cows and horses and dragons are going to find aliens!!"
That's my boy.
