A week to go. My flight leaves at some unearthly hour, so I see myself waking up before the birds do. Joy oh joy.
I think I'm finally unpacked. Clothes put away, books shelved, toothbrush in the bathroom and everything. It's still a tad strange being in this new environment and having to deal with new house...idiosyncracies. It takes a little getting used to.
I hope you're settling in as well, Orihime.
It's fairly ironic that just when I've finally unpacked all of those boxes, I now have to start sorting out the luggage for my trip. Packing light is the keyword considering I have to carry it all for a month, so only the essentials. I'm a little bemused at it all, so starting packing now may seem early, but I'd rather not be surprised later on when I realise my walking pole's rusted through or something of that manner.
I've also had to start taking the malaria tablets considering how mosquito infested the area is - you're supposed to start the course a week before you leave and for a fair few weeks after you come back. I'm fine with the whole 'not getting malaria' thing, but do they really have to make them taste so awful?
[Private to Rangiku:]
...In the politest way possible, could I please remind you once again that I would be a lot more talkative in the mornings if you wore clothes while you were cooking breakfast. Thank you in advance for the consideration.
