Personality: Serious, level-headed, refined, intelligent, spoiled, bratty, intense, and sophisticated are all words that can be used to describe Death the Kid. A shinigami, and son and heir of the current reigning death god, he takes his role very seriously. Perhaps, even a bit too seriously. You see, he’s somehow gotten it in his head (despite his father’s laid-back, accepting personality) that he has to be perfect. Completely. Perfect. And that everything around him should be perfect as well. This stems from the "role" of shinigami in the Soul Eater world: maintain balance/order. Kid puts a bit too much focus on the "order" side of the idea.

This perfectionism is manifested in a manner similar to a rather severe case of OCPD (Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder), and in an obsession with bilateral symmetry. This of course causes some issues, like being three hours late to school because he had to clean and arrange his house, scoring a 0 on a test because he spent the entire time trying to write his name properly, and running off in the middle of missions to check and make sure that a painting in his house was hanging properly, or that he folded the end of the toilet paper into a triangle. His has issues when he’s actually in a fight as well. He can’t attack an opponent who’s symmetrical, even if they’re going to kill him. Destroying symmetry, or being almost-symmetrical-but-not-quite can send him into a blind rage, blasting away with his twin guns until whatever offended him is totally destroyed. His obsessions are usually played for comedic effect, despite the fact that he takes almost everything utterly seriously.

However, there is a darker side to his order obsession. Kid is referred to as a "fragment of law", and order is his insanity. Lurking subconsciously underneath the flailing symmetry obsession is an attempt to combine "order" and "death" into one perfect ideal. Total destruction resulting in total balance. Maximum entropy, the heat death of the universe, ultimate balance and perfected order. It's not a major part of his conscious actions or thoughts at all, but it's still there, ready and waiting for insanity to bring the idea to light.

Kid is also, well, a kid. He plays basketball with his friends, takes time out in the middle of battles to ramp sand dunes on his flying skateboard, does amazingly stupid and reckless things like chasing down an immortal vampire that he was barely able to beat (even with a major powerup) or back-talking a god who doesn't care about Kid's heritage, and switches moods at the drop of a hat. Also,he's kind of a derp at times, and easily excited about a lot of little things.

What your character can offer: Despite his oftentimes comic-relief position in the story, Kid is quite literally, a god, and as such, he has some rather, shall we say godmod abilities. He also is a meister, and when working with his weapons, his power is nothing short of impressive. As one of his teammates says “I’d forgotten because he’s usually so low-key, but he’s a shinigami after all… that was a whole different order of magnitude.”

Shinigami abilities
Phisycal body - Unaffected by poisons, toxins, illnesses, and UV radiation. Incredible athletic abilities, including higher speed (moving quickly enough that it doesn't even look like he's moving), stamina, strength, pain resistance, and flexibility than a human. Limited teleportation.
Konso - “soul storage”. Kid can store souls in his body for later use. Also, a sort of hammerspace. He keeps his skateboard and a really cool cape+mask in there.
Lines of Sanzu - The white lines on Kid’s hair are apparently something other than a source of perpetual woe for his OCPD. Not much is known about these at this time, other than the fact that when his power level increases and they connect, they give him access to higher-level shinigami abilities, such as energy shields in the shape of a skull, and energy tentacles which can reattach limbs. They appear to be a sign of his maturation as a shinigami. A hint. Don’t mention them. They’re asymmetric. Note: Because of the power-removing affects of the chip, Kid will be stripe-less until it's removed, since canon has shown that the Sanzu lines are directly tied to his powers.

Shishin Taijutsu - Death God Martial Arts. An unusual fighting style focused on hand-to-hand combat and oddly contorted poses. It does not require weapons to be used effectively. He very rarely fights seriously, since it draws attention to the fact that he is impossibly beyond human in his abilities.
Stance of Crime - The offensive form, focused on chops, kicks, and hammer blows.
Stance of Punishment - A more defensive form, in which he has used his weapons for attacks.

Weapons
Patti and Liz Thompson are the two teenage girls who are Kid’s weapons. They transform into .38 caliber Twin Demon Guns and fire energy blasts. Kid is not going to be pleased that both of them are not here with him.

Soul Resonance - LIZ AND PATTI ARE HIS HOMEGIRLS
Death Cannon - his weapons transform into cannon barrels, covering his lower arms. Black spikes extend from his upper arms and his back. A massive cannon-like double shot of energy.

Beelzebub
Kid’s skateboard. It’s usually stored in konso. He’s talented with it, and uses it in battle on occasion, or just to play around. Capable of flight, and of traveling at least 500 km/hr (311 mph). And yes, he can ride it at that speed without any obvious discomfort. Told you he was godmod.

What items will they be bringing with them? Nothing. He’s got his clothing (black pants and a white dress shirt with the sleeves ripped off), but nothing else.

Third-Person Sample:
He was getting tired of this. The first... while (days, weeks, no idea) had been fine, reorganizing the Book so it was precise and perfect, every last captured stolen thing it its proper place.

And then Noah had pulled (torn, ripped, each atom of his body separating, each crest and trough of his soul's wavelength twisting and screaming) him out of the Book and chained him to a wall. A stone wall, bricks aligned wrongly, the edges digging into his spine an inch left of center. And it was cold, a fact he had only noticed after a very long while (hours of watching the sun inch through the rose window, tangling with dust motes on the floor). Cold enough to bother him because it sunk into his bones and he couldn't get away from the chill.

He'd stopped being able to feel his arms after an hour or so, which was nice in a way because it cut down on the feeling of evil magic creeping around his wrists, locking them in place over his head like handcuffs. But the loss of sensation didn't really lessen his awareness of the fact that there was still evil magic restraining him to a wall in an off-center way.

And that had only been what he'd noticed in the first few hours.

It had been worse afterwords, the days stretching to weeks, trying to ignore the way that everything in the church was (possibly?) just the slightest bit off center, the way that everything around him was wrong, the crushing animosity in the only souls within range of his limited perception, the way that Justin Law was here. Justin, who was supposed to be a Death Scythe, who was supposed to be his ally.

He was getting tired of it. He was so tired and he wanted to go home and he wanted to see Liz and Patti and Maka and Soul and Black✫Star and Tsubaki and everyone else again. He wanted to be safe and warm and not tired, wanted to feel a touch that was friendly and not fists pounding into his torso until organs ruptured and ribs cracked and made him so thankful for his god-quick healing abilities. He didn't care how spoiled and immature and bratty and childish these thoughts sounded (because really, he's a god and he shouldn't be so weak, he should be able to keep that mocking smirk on his face all the time, not just when Gopher ineffectually tried to make him cry out in pain). He just wanted someone to come and fix everything. He wanted his Father here because Father could fix things and make everything right and balanced again and he wouldn't have to be so scared.

First-Person Sample:
[A video. A glimpse of buildings, sky, a lonely tree, and a possibly familiar figure. Pale skin, ringed gold-orange eyes, longish black hair with... no stripes. A white dress shirt, slightly bloodstained, the sleeves torn off. An annoyed (but more than annoyed, unnerved, something very very worried hidden behind the surface emotion) expression.

And he has a list of questions.]

I'm assuming someone is able to hear and answer me. I'm... also assuming this isn't the Book. [Because it doesn't feel like the Book, doesn't feel like anything).]

What is this place? What am I doing here? How do I... [Not "how do I get back", because he does not want to go back, does not want to see whatever that thing was again.]

The mirrors aren't working. How would I contact an outside party? [Because his own abilities aren't working and it scares him.]
