I spent more on Christmas than I had planned to. It's funny how it all adds up quickly even when you *think* you are keeping a good handle on costs. *shakes head bemusedly*

I went to bed at 11:30 PM after the family left. I woke up at 5:00 AM, forced myself to go back to bed and slept until 8:40 AM, and am still tired. It rained over the weekend and washed all of the snow away. It looks like this week we will see 50 and 55 degrees. My hopes for a white Christmas have been dashed. So, no white Christmas, but a brown one of mud and rain. *sighs*

I do miss having a White Christmas. It's been a very long time since we had one out here.

Oh well. Life.

The tree is done, the cards have been sent, all the present shopping is done, and I am chilling out now. It's time for me to relax, to be at peace, and to not let those certain people in my family drag me down by them "scrooging" Christmas.

I got the Christmas tree done! Err, umm, or I completed the decorating of the tree. Or something like that. I am pooped. There are a few tweaks left to do, but the tree is done for all intensive purposes.

I am within a few of being done with my Christmas cards. For those that remain I need some more info first, but the majority of them are done. I even sent a card to my newspaper delivery couple and enclosed 5 dollars for them to "have a few cups of coffee on me ( Read more... )
