I have not been posting online much these last months. I have had to limit my time and industry on my computer, and even in my Second Life virtual reality. The fact is, my eyes could not endure the stain. I thought that I was experiencing Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). I felt that I needed a new eyeglass prescription too, but it turns out that wasn't the case. What it is, is cataracts.
When I went in to have my eyes tested for a new prescription, my optometrist had to stop the testing midway through. I was having a "bad eye day" with sore dry eyes and some doubled vision. The doctor told me that I needed evaluation by an Ophthalmologist;
I underwent a battery of intensive tests. The determination was that I need cataract correction surgery. It won't be cheap, and I will have to pay out of pocket for the advanced (premium) option that I selected. My health coverage will only pay for the basic cataract correction surgery. I required more than that basic option.
My first surgery will be on the 23rd of this month, and the second will be on the 27th. The follow up appointments with my optometrist will be on the day after each surgery. I hope and pray that there will be no complications, but one never knows. Fingers crossed, everyone.
Que Sera Sera, as I often say. Whatever will be, will be.
Hopefully, I will *see* you soon, my friends and friendly readers.
