Summary: The Noah Clan has mostly recovered from the battles on the Ark. However, Tiki's new habit of drinking alone at midnight is only one of the things worrying Devit.

Losing one's Noah-ness might be like Allen losing his Innocence. (I liked the nice little parallel of Allen (almost) doing to Tiki what Tiki (almost) did to him when he supposedly destroyed Allen's arm.) I imagine it would be even more extreme for the Noahs, since it's a part of who they are, not something they have. It's hard to tell, since Tiki wasn't conscious after Allen's sword attack. Tiki might be relatively okay, since he likes being a hobo, but I bet it would be traumatic on some level. And it would downright SUCK for any other Noah who got de-Noahed. XD
It was great fun writing the character interaction here. :3
I'm glad you like it!

Huh. I never thought of it that way, that's a good theory. :O I guess for the Noah its an actual, physical thing...possibly genetic? I wonder...does it just HAPPEN and the power is so amazing they just accept it?
I think Tyki probably just had shock trauma, like 'oh man that was a close call' sort of trauma. And yes, haha he loves the hobo life...wonder what the upper class ladies he's supposed to be impressing suddenly come across him eating their expensive, imported koi right out of their fishponds? XDDD What happens if they DO get fully de-Noahed though...terrible as it sounds I kind of want it to happen to SOMEONE so I can see how they handle it.
Character interaction is always the best part of any story, so you're very welcome. <3

Well Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. And Noah put a curse on Ham's son Canaan. I don't know where Hoshino is going with this, but I think the Noah are descendants of the cursed line. One line in the article that convinced me of that was this: “Mar Ephrem the Syrian said: When Noah awoke and was told what Canaan did. . .Noah said, ‘Cursed be Canaan and may God make his face black,’ and immediately the face of Canaan changed; so did of his father Ham, and their white faces became black and dark and their color changed.”If that doesn't sound like the Hoshino's Noahs I don't know what does. :O I think the Noah are the descendants of Canaan, who was probably out for revenge after that, which is why they're out to destroy God/the world with the Earl ( ... )

Hmm, that's an interesting connection. But then, Old Testament God also wanted to destroy humanity, so the Noah Clan is pretty much in line with that. Oh yeah, in Ch. 78 the Earl says "This (= the Ark) was the place where Noah escaped the flood and created the ancestors of the second human race. It's your original birthplace...Noah's Ark is humanity's home." So it's not Biblical literalism, it's "We made a bunch of new humans." So not everyone is necessarily descended from Noah, although his family's genes would still be scattered after thousands of years. XD I'm not sure if this actually tells us anything about the Noah Clan.
Wow, that's angst, right there. How did I miss this fansite? And do you have a link?

True that. But God DID destroy humanity with the Great Flood and scatter the Innocence so...I wonder where Hoshino's going with this. XD I really want to know what the hell that kind of technology was doing in Noah's time. I bet the Earl gave it to them. Considering the Ark is like a city I'm not surprised people live there. I'm not so sure it does, haha. Just that they're different from everyone else. XDDD
That it is. This is the link to the comic. X) It's made of so much angst and win.

The Old Ark, which had almost finished downloading, contained a city, so I imagine the complete Ark would be pretty vast. Alternate dimensions are a great place to store bits of the world when it's due to be destroyed. I hope Hoshino does something cool, because ignorant manga artists screwing with theology can be pretty cracktastic awesome if they pull it off. XD
Ohhhh, thank you so much!! Lol, invisiDero. Unique take on things.

The complete Ark would probably be a world in and of itself. Though I don't know what the Noah will do once the world is gone...there's only 13 of them after all. I expect they might get bored, especially the twins. XD I hope so too, Hoshino's doing a great job so far and I'd hate for everything to suddenly go downhill. D:<
X) You're welcome. It's different, yeah and...god the part where Devi shoots Dero, I wibbled and died a little on the inside. The angst, the BONDS, omg the comic is so long but it's so epic. <3

Utena is awesome, so long as you don't mind never quite understanding what's going on. But in what other story is the princess also a prince, the witch also a princess, and the prince also the Devil?
Rhode's dialogue in that scene was another clue that the Noahs are Evil, in case the readers needed a clue. That's exactly what Rhodeworld is like.
Poor Devit. Must read end of comiiiic! D:
Now, the Pierrot Jesus lecture. As you've probably noticed, Allen's a Christ figure. He's pure, he wants to save everyone, is willing to sacrifice himself to do so, and he's destined to Save the World. However, he's the only manga character who's a clown-themed Christ figure. I've seen that theme in one other place, the novel Deep River by the Japanese Christian novelist Endou Shuusaku (best known for Silence). One of the motifs in this book was ridiculous clown-like figures who die or suffer in place of others. When Allen got his Crown Clown power-up, it ( ... )

:O Geezus, wow that's both amazing and complicated lol damn Utena I like understanding what's going on...otherwise I'll be forever thinking about it. XD
Or maybe that's just Rhode, being the First Child and all. She probably instructed the rest of them in her Evil ways. |D Well I'm sure Jasdevi and Skinn would appreciate to some extent. Sherril would love anything Rhode does. Tyki...not so much. XD
Huh. :O That's very true. And what's more what you just said reminded me of this book that was read to me in primary school The Clown of God by Tomie dePaola. It was based on a French legend and is very beautiful and sad. It's about this orphan boy who joins a troupe and becomes the finest juggler in all Italy, and dies as an old man on Christmas Eve performing his art one last time in front of a statue of the child Christ. When the priests find him, they are awed to see that ( ... )

I enjoy books where I don't quite understand what's going on. I can think about it and attempt to figure it out, but even if I don't it's still mysterious and good!
Oh, one of my roommates had that Tomie dePaola book! There's that theme again. :)
