A cousin just got married.
The ceremony was lovely. The meal was broken up by dancing - between the soup and the main course, between the main course and dessert. Somehow, I had managed to forget that the really fun dancing always happens during the second set, when the elderly relatives have gone home and cleared the dance floor for the young'uns. I had planned on not getting all sweaty, but during the second set, the music went straight to my feet without stopping at my brain.
Goodness that was fun. I had my arms raised above heart level for at least half an hour of bouncing around - why can't aerobics workouts be this much fun?
Also, someone brought a hula-hoop to the dance floor. If you can't be silly all dressed up at eleven o'clock at night, when can you be silly? I used it too, and lasted longer than I expected. It seems the weighted hoops work better than the light ones - they have their own momentum, and don't bend/get dented as fast. Hoops really have to be round if they're going to work right.
Didn't get to sleep until ~2AM. It was worth it.
silly,
family
