NaNo Wrimo and Borderlands continue to consume my life.

If I haven't been seen anywhere lately, it is because of these two things. Mornings and afternoons are dedicated to bashing out 1700 words to keep up with my NaNo quota, which is gradually sucking out my brain like a hungry illithid. (Random D&D lore, there. I do not apologize.)

Just hit 10,000 words on my third novel, The Iron Queen.  Woo!  Only 90,000 more to go.

I also realized that by the time my first book hits shelves in February, I'll have finished all three books in the series.

Cool.

Well, I received my first unofficial deadlines the other day, and suddenly, this whole author thing seems a lot more real.  Not in a bad way, of course, but in a this-is-no-longer-a hobby sort of way.  I have deadlines for books two and three of my trilogy, as well as deadlines for the proposals of both books.  I think its awesome; I'm now an " ( Read more... )
