I'm having a hard time figuring if I want to trasfer to the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, or not. So, I decided to share my Pros and Cons list with the world of LJ, and I would love to hear what you guys think about it. Keep in mind, the educational part is very important... but spiritual, mental, and emotional growth is something that is the ( Read more... )

the tourists can be youre friends if you get a job in the tourist industry. i'll move into town with you and we can be maids at a ritzy hotel.

or poop says he'll be one of those guys who carries around the parrots in waikiki, and you can take the pictures of the people he puts the parrots on. and i quote, "we'll put a tree in the background, it'll be artistic"

So true. But why get stressed over cleaning after the tourist and only getting more irritated by them when Travis has a friend who works at the Blockbuster in Mililani? Hehehe. =)It would make a simple weekend job. Have you ever seen Blue Crush?

OMG OMG OMG You are considering going to school in Hawaii?!?! WOW!! You must have been really impacted by the place. If you really do love the area, and could be okay living far away from your family, then I say go for it. Don't let opportunities pass you by! But, of course I'd miss you :(

The big problem is figuring out if it'll be worth it or not as far as educational relations. =/ The schooling isn't going to be better, but I might become a better and more determined self taught person if I go there. It's a weird trade off... but it might work. If you miss me too much, then it'll give you a good reason to go fly out to Hawaii and visit and see the area. That way you don't have to worry about paying for a place to stay at. There's so much to do and see over there. =)

Thanks for your feedback.

do you want my honest opinion?

i think you should go ahead and apply for university of hawaii and see if you get accepted.. if you do, you could see from there:: i think you'd have fun living in hawaii. my friend and i were gonna apply for univ of hawaii last year but things didnt work out because i realized i only had one more year in school and if i were to go to hawaii, i'd have to stay in school for one extra year because they dont have my major.. sucks.. but im planning on moving to hawaii with friends after im done with school..

youre only young once, you could always move to hawaii and see how you like it.. if you dont like it within a year, you could always move back to fla or whatever.. thats what i'd do..:)

good luck :)

Yeah, I agree. The school that I am presently at in Florida is always opened to me, so I could always just come back if it doesn't work out. =] Thanks for your feedback. I hope you get the opportunity to get to Hawaii when you graduate. Are you moving to Oahu? What attracts you to the island?

yeah, I want to move to Oahu- I like the atmosphere, I felt like I belonged there when I was on the island. I don't know what attracted me the most - I love everything about Oahu! I'm positive you know how I feel. :) Good luck with Hawaii, hope you get to move there soon! I strongly doubt you'd regret living there even if it's only for a short period :)

Hmm...it seems like that The University of Hawaii at Manoa seems to out weigh Florida by a smidge. Hawaii does seem like it does have what you need a little bit more than Florida but you do have some cons that are strong. No matter what you do, I know you'll be fine. Good luck on your decision!
