Whee!!!
Typing this in my own room on the brand new laptop, which after talking to various computer guys to try and get this thing installed I think I deserve. So...feeling really happy right now.
Not just because of the computer, but a lot of things. My life has suddenly taken a turn for the better. Most of the times I feel this is undeserved and might come back to bite me. What did I do to deserve such a good life? Everything in life is relative. You might be making 800k a year, but reach the millions digit and you feel like life is better. For others, making 300k is like a blessing. So maybe what I used to have wasn't so bad at all, I just never took the time to appreciate it.
Social aspects of my current situation...I actually have one (believe it or not), which is part of what makes me so happy. Went to the movies with some friends, Harry Potter was all sold out so we opted to eat dinner at Steak 'N Shake instead. It was actually fun, instead of just sitting in silent in the movie theater. Now this was before I got sick. So was bowling (so fun) and the hanging out with friends.
Went to 2 Thanksgiving dinners with my family. Got to hang out with 3 year olds the entire time. (And people ask me why I don't like kids) Seriously, YOU hang around them 24/7. I wonder why my parents never made friends with people who have children who are around my age. The only person I can think of who even lives close by is Jack, and he lives a 2 hour's drive away. Wendy's in PA. Mike in NYC I haven't heard from in forever. Changhai's too busy with his own problems as it is. And Huishan lives in Georgia. Yup, that about sums it up.
Tomorrow signals the end of Thanksgiving Break. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. Hope all of you had fun too!
