A "Holy Crap" Moment

Jul 03, 2013 20:57

When you've lost a bunch of weight, there's always going to be a few 'Holy Crap!' moments. Like when the pants that barely fit two years ago are nearly falling off your body or how you can heft bags of fertilizer without feeling like you're going to get a hernia.

Today, I did a thorough scrub down of the bathroom and it caused barely blip on the too-worn-out-to-care-scale. It's got a walk in shower with one of those horrible sliding glass shower doors that's a mold grower. I cleaned the damned thing with a toothbrush and a small scrub brush. Then, I cleaned the toilet, sink and counter, dusted, and then mopped the whole bathroom. It took me nearly 4 hours.

100+ pounds ago, I would have been lucky to finish just the shower.

Today, I cleaned the bathroom, and then I did a full hour of strength training later in the day.

My arms are a little bit rubbery and I have bruises on my knees from kneeling so much (scrubbing + modified plank later on), but, other than that, I don't really feel exhausted. Worn a bit but kind of jazzed like you do after a good workout.

It's a good feeling. ♥
