1) I either severely bruised or broke two of my toes last night when I tripped rather badly in the bathroom. I'm guessing it's just deeply bruised since I can still wiggle them, but it hurts like mad. Since the treatment for a broken toe is just to tape it to the one next to that, I did so. I know ice would also help, but getting ice to stay on

The weather the last couple of years have been so odd. It got seriously cold last winter here, and you lot got buried in snow. There's been tornadoes all over the place -- freakishly strong ones at that -- and flooding.

Something tells me this hurricane season is going to kick our collective butts. :(

The book has been fantastic! I've gotten about 3/4 of the way through. I was right at the point where Jake had met the couple in Connecticut when we lost power last night. (We had a massive storm that knocked the power out for 4 hours.) I plan on finishing it off tomorrow.

Let me tell you, when you killed off Mitch, I spent pages sobbing my eyes out. Dreamspinner ought to send your book out with a package of tissues! :D

Your writing has grown by leaps and bounds. I was really able to feel things with your characters, and, more than once, found myself so sucked in I was about to start yelling at them when I thought they were doing something I thought particularly stupid (like heading off to that club!) or when Andy's mom popped up. Ugh. That woman. She deserves a good smack upside the head.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the story!!! SOC was a very special story. I waited until I knew I was "ready" to write before I started it. It had to be good to work. I've actually gotten quite a few positive reviews on this book and you're not the first to mention the need for tissues. Thank you so much!

I hope you enjoy the rest and don't lose power anymore. What a pain!
