the great escape
this weekend was pretty awesome i have to say. it all started on friday when there was a huge jam session at mikes. there was only about 5 of us there at the beginning. and 3 went to get something to eat. me and mike were the only 2 left. mike was playingdemeras' guitar and broke a strong. we had to act quickly. we called jared and had his stall everyone else for us so they wouldnt come bakc and find out. while jerry was stalling me and mike drove down to guitar center and our lives almost ended at the hands of lauren burgess. but we made it. they put on a new string and we made it back home in time for demeras to never know the difference. later that evening we told him anywyas.
then a ton of people came over and we had a huge jam session which was wicked fun. i think i actually played more drums than i played guitar tho but it was still great.
saturday we went to dennys and i had the best meal of my life. we also met up with conner and jerry. we went to building 19 and i bought some awesome car mats with little gooses on them. the real adventure was the drive to building 19. i drove with jerry. talk about near death experiences. 1st i go 50 around a corner in a 25 with a stop sign right after it. now i dont like to speed cause its not worth it really. but i just kinda stopped paying attention. so we almost hit the curb and then had to slam on the brakes for the stop sign. next we're at a 2 lane red light. the right lane goes straight, the left lane goes left. we were in the left lane. i was unaware we could only go left and i went straight and i guess cut some guy off in the process says jerry. now here's the ebst one. pulling into building 19 theres a stay right sing that i didnt see and my windows were foggy so i didnt really know what i was doing. so i went left into the one way exit. luckily no one was coming head on but i did pass some guy but he was in the other lane.
we picked up an old drum kit that we found on the side of the road.
we also did some more recording. i finished the guitar tracks finally. i also tried to do the bass cause peter wasnt there using ben's brothers bass but its like a $100 bass and a $30 amp so it sounded awful so we're gonna wait till peter can do it.
