My Baby...
will be 5 on Friday!!!! I'm happy for her, and sad for me. It seems that every time her birthday comes around I get sad for a short time. I love her to pieces, but it means that she is another year closer to being on her own and making her own stamp on the world. That part I don't like. We are starting to get her ready for Kindergarten. UGH!! I can't believe this crept up on me the way it did. I'm so not ready to loose her 2 or 3 days a week...depending on the week. I make it sound so depressing, but for me it is. She didn't go anywhere for preschool, I taught her everything at home.
Jordyn also has a new friend. Well, I guess not really new, they have been friends since we moved in. It seems that S is at our house everyday, and a lit of nights. I feel really bad for her, as her mom yells at her and her brother a lot. I've always wanted a house that was warm and loving, and where everyone felt as if they were welcome. I guess S feels that way, and I love it.
We've decided on a family dog. Hopefully next spring we will be getting an Alaskan Malamute. We need to get a yard in first, which will hopefully be this fall. We are thinking of names that have something to do with the native Eskimo language. So far we like Nanuc (Polar Bear) and a couple that when shortened are Tiki. We are in search for a reputable breeder, and hoping we can get money down and get pick of litter. Having a male puppy should be fun!! I'm looking forward to it. I'm ready for another baby, but only one with 4 legs.
House stuff...We have spackled, primed, and painted the walls a temporary brown. The same color that is upstairs. I needed something to make it a little nicer down there for J's party on Friday. It's all coming together nicely. I have a corner full of stuff for a yard sale next year, and just a few boxes of things that need to get hung up now that the wall is painted. We have been having a lot of fires in the back yard where we invite neighbors and their families over...good times!! We have also seen some beautiful birds at our suet feeder. I need to get a good bird book so I can find out what some of them are.
Anyway, it's time for me to hear out and get lunch for my family. Hope everyone is doing well!!
