spring break!
i'm so excited!!! one whole week without the students. I have to catch up to BTSA and all that stuff, but it's break! After this week will be bad. it makes it even worse when veteran teachers say that the next two months will be terrible. -_- after years and years of teaching it doesn't get better?!?! what the heck am i doing?! stupid kids. another one of my students in my bad class was expelled. either expelled or dropped out, .. we don't know. she was suspended for a week and then after that week, she never came back. she was getting better too. sigh. so now i have 30 students in this class. from 36 to 30! and it's still terrible. TERRIBLE. the other day, i was a bit strict and one of the kids shouted out "miss!! why are you so mean today?! you usually let us talk!!!!" and i glared at him. *_* i don't mean to let them talk stupid kids.
we also have the science fair coming up the week we come back. SCIENCE FAIR! MY FIRST science fair. it's going to be a disaster because i have no idea what to do and my kids are far behind. I told them to do it all this week for break. that was their homework. I am confident that only about 10 of my 70 kids will do it. -_- ughghgh. teaching is hard. assessments are coming up as well and we are very unprepared. oh well.
earlier this week, there was a huge commotion outside my classroom as class was starting and ALL my kids ran out to see. As i walked to the door, I see my student walk back in with a page of porn in his hand... yea.. everyone was screaming out EWWWWWWWWWW. and i was mortified. turns out, there was a HUGE porn mag someone had brought to school. it was some thick stuff.. i didn't see what magazine it was though. i stuffed it into my cabinet. i can't imagine what the boys and girls that saw it were thinking. i swear, the 2 pictures that i saw, and the rest of the kids saw, is now burned into my mind and i can't handle it. *_* i was never exposed to this stuff in 6th grade. i don't think i was exposed to this until COLLEGE shoot.
at the end of the day, one of my kids was looking into my cabinet as i was getting something out and was like.... absolutely confused as i hurriedly covered the porn. He was like.. MISS WHY DO YOU HAVE PORN! and a student in the other class explained what happened. He then asked me why i still had it. I think back to when i was in high school and we used to all say that our french teacher had porn behind his podium. maybe this is how it all started and rumors are going to go around that i have porn in my cabinets. *_*
today, was the first day in a LONG time, that i was EXCITED to go to school. I don't remember feeling so excited. it was a good feeling. I wish i could feel like that every morning.
BTW, congratulations jennie!!! i will miss you when you go far away. =(
