So far my job is going really well, hopefully this trend will continue and I can make the transition from job to college smoothly. Today was only my third day and my boss already wants to hire me part time when I'm in school (which I will, unfortunately, probably have to say no). The work is not too hard, there's not much of a steep learning curve to alphabetizing invoices.
Some of the tasks I've done have been mundane and repetitive such as editing data, and organizing invoices. Others have been more personal such as booking a hotel for my boss, responding to e-mails he receives, and "interfacing with the customer". On the first day I was surprised when the boss let me call a man from Minnesota in response to an e-mail. The man turned out to be thrilled that I called him back he didn't realize I was new.
Never before have I had such a great respect for George (Koenma's lackey from YYH) who does a number of things beyond paperwork. Kurama sort of seems to do this too when in Spirit World, only he just leaves whenever he wants to :D
Basically my job is to do whatever the boss wants me to do.
On the positive side my left eye is almost 100% back to normal! ^^ The uncomfortable irritating feeling is finally gone and my sight is clear again.
The Setting: Ouran High School Host Club (if the series took place in a basement.)
The Co-worker #1: Momo Adachi (Peach Girl)
My first co-worker reminded me of this character right away based on her similar appearance and apparent interest in fashion. Her style reminded me of an older and lighter version of the ganguro / gyaru Japanese fashion subculture, with darkly tanned skin and light blonde hair.
The Co-worker #2: The Witch of the Waste, sweet version (Howl's Moving Castle)
My second co-worker is an extremely kind older woman. She has a lighthearted, unique strangeness about her and has a similar voice and characteristics to this character.
The Co-worker #3: Shizuru (Yu Yu Hakusho)
While I have not spoken to this co-worker very much yet, she seems to be a grounded and level-headed individual. She's one of the few people on the team who seems to have the courage to stand up to the boss without hesitation.
The Boss: Gendo Ikari (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
Just kidding. (sort of) I have just finished watching the Evangelion series along with the first two movies. Ironically, the organization I am working for over the summer specializes in materials for those who have mental health problems. We never see any actual patients we deal with customers over the phone and mostly handle paperwork.
So obviously quite a mix of people we have going on here.
