The interview ended up going very well, monday will be my first day starting at my summer job site. The boss showed me around the small facility held at the bottom of a large and fairly old house. Even though most of the buildings on the street are old they are all large Victorian style houses preserved in great condition. There are three other workers besides myself, two women who in their late 40s-50s and a younger woman who appears to be in her 30s. Being the youngest person at the job site I will most likely be helping with data entry on the computer, social networking sites, and some design advice. The organization I will be working for publishes books, cds, and dvds for the medical industry. It's exciting because for the first time I will have my own office space with a desk, computer, printer, phone, and the rest of the works. My office is located in a decent sized hallway space between the rooms that contain the other office workers.
My only disappointment is that the job site will require me to work 9-5 instead of part time hours as I originally had hoped. Fortunately this experience should be a positive outlet for my time and allow me to earn extra spending money for supplies at school.
Last night I convinced my mom to see The Last Airbender with me. Unfortunately it is not playing in 3D at our local theater...(a sign out in front proudly reads: "IN 2D!") None the less we both enjoyed the movie, it was really not as crash and burn as the reviews were making it out to be. Initially, I was a little worried about the quality of the acting but once all of the action sequences began it was visually entertaining to watch.
