The first block set in the ground and leveled. This becomes the reference point for leveling the other 3 blocks of the foundation.

While digging a space for the second block, I encountered this massive root.

At the end of my first day of work, I have three foundation blocks in the ground. They are all level with respect to one another.
Tomorrow the last block, and then I begin framing the floor!
