Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
He's "average", as in; not thin, and not heavyset. He has wide shoulders, and is well-built under his clothing. He isn't bulky, and doesn't have a super-thin waist.
2. How old is he?
The still youthful age of 24.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
Enno has marvelous posture. He carries himself well, but not arrogantly. Generally out of habit, he moves as one does when they have business to attend to.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Considering his condition? Perfect. He doesn't get sick, and other than frequent insomnia wouldn't set off any alarms to others.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Depends. Most of the time he's a bit tense; because he's worried he'll break something. Around women he sometimes gets clumsy. Remember me saying he's not bulky? Occasionally he'll move like he is, everything is deliberate, never rushed unless it's during a fight.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Well, his self-perception is terrible. The reality? Well, there are certainly prettier characters; he doesn't spend all day fussing about his looks, but he's very handsome. He smiles rarely, but it's genuinely disarming to most women when he does.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Pale. Almost sickly so, but not quite. He just doesn't tan at all.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Jet black. It's fairly thick, like most of his family, and suprisingly soft. He keeps it somewhat short on the sides and back, a bit longer on top and in front. As for how it's managed? Well, it has some body, and so he just fiddles with his hair enough to keep it out of his eyes, and otherwise lets it take care of itself other than washing it.
9. What color are his eyes?
Hazel. They'll appear more brownish most of the time, but it's a fairly rich tone that helps him convey his feelings a bit. He needs all the help he can get.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
He looks like he's either pouting, or frowning slightly most of the time. Depending on his canonpoint; he has a white dragon tattoo on his left thigh.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
Everything, really. Mostly his shoulders because he carries a lot and seldom ever has massages.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Somewhat casual. He likes button-ups and khakkis. Sneakers and comfortable socks. He loves earthy-tones like greens, browns, and grays. Black and white also get mixed in with some mild blues. He dislikes wearing bright colors as they draw attention. He will sometimes wear a dress-shirt and slacks, but he dislikes ties unless requested to wear them.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
They fit well, but relaxed. He hates feeling confined when he's not wearing his armor. He appears very comfortable in both his casual dress and his armor, incidentally.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
When he's working, it's armor. Full-blown armor minus a helmet as he doesn't want his vision limited. That means some kind of underpadding, light leather armor over to reduce chafing and rubbing, then chainmail, and finally full plate mail over all of his body, with greaves and gloved gauntlets. This is another reason his whole body hurts; the full suit probably doubles his weight as it weight around 200 lbs.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Boxers. The whole "confined" thing. =D
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Deep. Not "OMG HIS VOICE BLEW OUT THE BASS ON MAH SPEAKERS", but deep. The kind that could inspire authority when he needs to.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He speaks low, and slow. He hesitates occasionally, but other than that he doesn't gap up or squeeze his words together. Sometimes he will trail off when he's thinking.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Rarely, German. Half his family hails from there, so every so often the accent will slip in, usually when arguing with family. Mostly, he speaks accentlessly. His verbal tics are that he doesn't use contractions. So it's always "Can not, Do not, He would, Would not, etc." Except when he's very angry.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
Well, the langauges in his canon aren't named, so we'll use the best relatable one. German, American English. He know a scant few phrases in Arabic, and can hold a very very basic conversation in French.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
He'll switch between American and German when speaking/arguing with family as they do the same. Morrison will usually prompt German from Enno as it is their First Language.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He has to think. He hates being put on the spot to begin with. Once-in-a-while he'll make a good speech on the spot.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Normal, mostly. He'll stick to understandable words as he is used to having to ask for information without confusing people. Sometimes, he'll get inarticulate around women.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
A mix, but fairly smart. I'd lean more towards street-smart as part of his job is to assess when he's being lied to.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He perfers time to deliberate, thinking on his feet is something he hates because he can't work out the best solution.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Logical, yet Idealistic. The logical part is because he'll look at a situation and determine what will likely happen. He will then think about the best outcome and try to pursue that.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
Home-Schooled, but he has a very rich education as his family has a lot of interests. He is at least comparable to a Pre-College Level student.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Smithing, this involves a small bit of Physical Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, and Mathmatics, but only the most basic knowledge needed to work with his metals. Swordplay, mostly Eastern-European, Gardening. He's most interested in learning more about Gardening.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Serious introvert.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Very even-tempered. Ranges from emotionally flat to melancholy. Driven.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Suspicious, and timid. Meeting new people makes him nervous.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
React. He believes in finishing rather than starting.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight, which is something about himself that he hates.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
He very much likes humor as everything in his life is fairly serious. His humor is dry and sarcastic.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Not really. Some people might rate him as depressed, but he just needs something uplifting in his life.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
His childhood, in particular when he received his "gifts". Several times he accompanied his father out jobs and learned of knighthood from him.
14. What does he fear?
Water. He hates deep water as he doesn't swim very well, and since he can't die, being dumped in the ocean to depths where even he can't move, to suffer alternatively drowning and staring at nothing terrifies him. Also, he is irrationally afraid of creatures that that might lurk in deep water.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
To marry, and have a family. Fairly simple, but to him it's everything he wants and doesn't allow himself to have.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
The fact that he's questionably a member of the undead. And work. He hates talking about work.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
A bit strained. He reconciled, but he always has trouble connection emotionally to anyone.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
He has two younger brothers. His youngest brother he gets along with well. The middle brother and he argue constantly, but have a decent relationship anyway.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
His Maternal Grandfather; who raised him and his brothers.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Lucius, one of the very few that never judges Enno for any reason. Lucius is Enno's best friend.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Felix Lucius Abel. They met when Enno was traveling and had to save the young man from getting killed by a jealous boyfriend whose girl Lucius had been caught in bed with. Afterwards Lucius kept traveling with Enno to repay him(despite constant protests from Enno) and they eventually started bonding.
6. Does he have other close friends?
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
He has trouble getting along with people because he's very slow to open up.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Family. It's something that's been ingrained ever since he could walk.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Single. Never married until later in his canon.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Not currently. Later in canon he develops a relationship.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
He didn't really have one as a child, his crush was the girl he ended up marrying.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
It's hard to rationalize as the way he met his wife in canon was rather strange. He likes someone that's warm, caring, and patient. Someone that can help him relax and crawl out of his shell.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
Currently? He doesn't have any and doesn't want any. He's been run up to the point where he has children, he might have grandchildren eventually.
He has a son and a daughter, and he relates to them very well.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Gary Fisher, rival, but only to Fisher himself. Enno more considers him a nusance as the other man constantly tries to prove his job(Lancer) is better than Enno's(Knight) due to the inherent rivalry between the two classes.
Maeglin, rival. The man is someone that has a friendly rivalry with Enno, as they meet often, but they often work together. They have a running score of how many times they've saved the other's life.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Enno rates a 0. For lulz, I occasionally rate him .5 as he's comfortable enough with himself to admit that another man's good-looking(but only after he's started opening up to others).
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
It's...sex. It's nice, but not required. When he gets into a relationship it is fairly more important to him.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Neither. If one were to place him, he'd be spiritual as his work has him involved with the super-natural, but he is far from relgious as exceptionally strong holy powers will actually damage him; inspite of the fact he often does what would be considered holy work.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
It's ridiculously complex, but it's based on the Knight's Code. 0
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Slightly curious, very tolerant. Stuff like that is not his place to question is his reasoning.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Gardening. It's a way he can create something instead of destroy it. Plus he just feels very at peace when he's tending his gardens.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
His eating habits are poor at times because his sense of taste doesn't work like it should because of some of his gifts. He'll skip meals about half the time, and generally is only certain to eat dinner.
