(no subject)
So I haven't updated lj in over two months. I guess it is time. Today I officially have a ticket to Spain. I will be leaving for my three month adventure on December 30th and will return end of March. I have started research on places to stay in Madrid and language schools in Cadiz. Keeping a tight budget will be hard for me and knowing once I stop working that will be it for a while, yet I am super excited and will try my hardest to make ever dollar/euro stretch to the max.
I will be having a friend accompany me for the first three and a half weeks, Dana Kelly. I am so relieved that I will be with someone when I first get over there because I know no one and still lack the ability to hold a full comprehensive conversation in Spanish. I think a two week intensive will help me out, I may look into more classes with out Dana after she leaves. I know I will be paying for Spanish lessons, dance lessons, a place to sleep, food to eat, and transportation, and goodness knows entertainment. I am a bit concerned with the financial bit at the moment. Something to still figure out and fine tune.
In other news: I will be performing at the Theater Artaud in San Francisco on November 1st. We will have a 3:00 matinee and a 8:00 evening show. I have been working really hard on my solo and other pieces that I will be dancing and highly suggest anyone to come see me dance. It should be a great show and probably my last big show before I go to Spain. I know there are many of my friends who have never seen me dance before and I think this will be the best opportunity to see me at my best. I should totally go to sleep right now. bleh.
