Royally Flushed
When you spend as much time in the book store as I do, you start to notice the same books popping up all over the place. They are usually best sellers, which is fine, they must be somewhat good to be on the best seller list, and I find myself wanting to read them. Well, this is the case with a few children's books I have seen. Perhaps you have seen them, too. The books are by Carl Heissen (something like that, I forget now) and have single titles like Flush, Hoot,.....and something else I, also, can't remember. The covers look cute, one has a fish hook and the other an owl face. I have wanted to buy them numerous times but just couldn't make myself do it.....my solution? the library! I found Flush at the Bulverde library on Audiobook and thought it would be great! The last children's book I listened to on audiobook was wonderful....this one.....not so much. I got to track 10 and stopped. Maybe I didn't give it enough time to pick up, but when the book is only 4 discs and I am not interested come the end of the first disc, we have a problem. I still have it on my iPod, so there is still a chance I might listen to it.....but just don't hold your breath
