Things I've noticed today:
- The earlier I have to wake up the more I dress like I'm homeless
- Cylindrical bottle + stadium style seating = Dana's water bottle ending up at the feet of Billy Bob Joe in the front of the room
- Sorority girls have this mysterious way of having perfectly kept hair even in the heat and wind.... mine was like Einstein's in the worst humidity after being in a hot desert and not washing it for 4 days.
- The ice in our freezer always tastes salty
- I have amazing friends, the old ones are awesome and I miss them, and the new ones are just as important, couldn't live without any of them.
- A lot of children's cartoons now-a-days have a lot of funny stuff for adults in them too.
- No matter what my favorite tradition is HOWDY! and I'm sad that it's starting to disappear.
- I envy and have complete and utter respect for those few people who were pioneers in their field of choice while everyone else said it couldn't be done
- I really don't like mini corndogs as much as I thought I did.
- The freshman this year blow my mind, they're so cool and willing to do things
- Maggie is the smartest dog alive
- Eating lunch by yourself isn't so bad, you get a nice little break to take just for yourself for once.
- Music is an amazing source of energy, relaxation, and healing. I think I'll take this one and run with it for a little while....
Have you ever noticed the amazing impact that music has on your everyday life? I can listen to certain songs and not only will my entire mood change, but I can completely forget about how I was before. Or even better, I'll hear a song and it reminds me of something or someone that I had completely forgotten about. Nothing else really has that effect on me, maybe painting. Even better than that pay attention to the kind of stuff you listen to at certain times. More often then not they match up right with your mood. I went through like 60 CD's today until I came upon an old CD I hadn't heard in years, but nothing felt right until I put it in. I think a lot of people dont' really look at lyrics of songs, more of what sounds good and what has a good beat. There are just those few songs that I never thought I would like but when I listen to the words of them and really get what they're trying to convey it's simply awesome. Anywho, I don't know if that makes any sense or not, but the past couple days I've just kind of noticed the influence of music, maybe it's because I'm in that music class, who knows. I'll say one thing, those cubans sure know how to dance, I wish I was 1/8th of the dancer they are.
