Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, it's been quite awhile I guess, lots of things going on and what not. I realize the vagueness there. Classes started, accounting seems like it's going to be a lot of work, my music prof seems really interesting, finance is going to be hopefully not so bad if I can keep going like I have been, marketing seems...meh, but the real gem of them all would have to be my Statistics professor. Words almost can't express....but I'll try:
So he starts out going over the syllabus. This guy talks like Ben Stein, you know the guy from Ferris Bueller "Bueller......Bueller...." anyways, every once in awhile he'd throw in this little joke, it was actually really funny because not everyone got it every time. Well he starts telling us how he has a virtual t.a. that we can e-mail with questions if we want to... and his e-mail address is mr.spot@cheerful.com . I immediately start looking around the room to see other people's faces because there is no way this guy is for real with this. Oh, he sure was. Not just that he told us he was sorry that Mr. Spot couldn't be in class today but that he brought a picture of him so that we could know what he looks like. So he takes out a transparency...and it's a clipart image of an owl. Honestly. I couldn't make this stuff up even if I tried. I start cracking up at this guy, I mean absolute lunacy going on here, it's going to be an interesting year. Especially with a clipart image of an owl advising me on tough statistic problems.
All in all it's been a meh kind of week, lots of stuff going on, been really busy, but I think I would go absolutely nuts if I didn't have things to do. The really funny thing I've figured out about college is that you can never expect the year to go the way you think it will. My freshman and sophmore years were awesome and completely unpredictable and I'm sure this year will be the same. It's awesome to think of all the really cool stuff I might be able to do.
On a random sidenote: Shel Silverstein might be a complete genius, even though those poems are for children.
