It has been a very busy trip. I'm now in Hong Kong after spending all week, literally, at the Hyatt Dongguan. Meaning, we didn't leave the hotel for five days (though I think I did step outside on my balcony to make a phone call one night). So, I got a little virus or something on Wednesday that had me up all night puking my guts out until I was completely devoid of the presence of any food or liquid. So that was fun. After a lovely two and a half days in Bangkok and the requisite temple-sighting, we arrived in Krabi yesterday afternoon via Thai Airways (and partook of a puzzling new sandwich concoction on the plane that was our designated vegetarian meal... it was potato salad on white bread, I kid you not ( Read more... )

Arrived safely in Hong Kong a few hours ago and have spent the evening enjoying this ginormous, almost suite-sized hotel room at the Kowloon Shangri-La.  Unfortunately I have no view of Victoria Harbour this time, but I've seen it before and am just fine without.  Enjoyed the delicious jasmine "welcome tea" they brought, had a nice bubble bath, and ( Read more... )
