job!
Soooo...I got a job!!! Finnnnaaaaalllllly!!!!!! It's only been over a year since I graduated...
The job isn't the most glamorous, ideal job that there is, but it's full-time and its experience. I will be working for Deluxe in Groton, MA in the Graphic Design department doing typesetting, logo re-designing, and quite possibly some overflow work from the Web Design department. We'll see about that last one.
It's nice to know that I have a steady income coming in each week that I can rely on always being there and mostly being the same (unless I can pick up overtime, which they do offer after you're trained).
The people really seem nice there, and everyone smiles at you when you look at them. I didn't really come across anyone snotty when I was there (besides the reception lady who seemed like a bitch to me).
I'm definitely moving out now. This job really sealed the deal. I only need to make $1,300 a month in order to afford a house/apartment, groceries, utilities, a cell-phone (cuz I'm getting an iPhone), my student loans, and my credit card payments. The job only pays like $12/hr but that's $480 a week minus whatever they take out in taxes. With my waitressing on the weekends, I'll definitely be bringing in at least $1,600 a month which will keep me on top of things and even ahead a little bit probably (hopefully). And these numbers are all based on rent itself costing $600/month which I doubt that it will.
I'm out for now cuz I have to get up early to go fill out some paperwork and pee in a cup.
