Commandments belong in schools
Wednesday, March 12, 2008 10:43 PM PDT

Harold Clawson hit the nail on the head in his Feb. 27 letter regarding putting the Ten Commandments back in the nation’s schools.

America started out as a Christian nation, but we have wandered away and need to find the path back.

If everyone would OK the Ten Commandments, there would be no more killing, no more stealing, no more divorces, no more profanity. You name it. It would be a wonderful, peaceful world.

I could add an Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt fasten thy seat belt.

" Would you all please keep YOUR religion away from MY kids. Just because you cant raise your kids to be upstanding citizens without beating them over the head with a book, doesnt mean all parents are that incompitent.

My kids are well behaved honest free thinking INDIVIDUALS. They are even happier in the absence of your god than i ever was being drug to church every week

Our constitution gives us the freedom of religion, why not freedom FROM religion too. "
