(no subject)
I discovered today that it hurts when students leave. Two of the students in the class I am interning with aren't going to be in the class anymore. I'm assuming that they are both moving. It really makes me sad that Shaqueyjanik left because I was starting to make some progress with her. She was doing a lot better in class and starting to come out of her shell that she had built up to deal with all the crap in her life. Now, she has to begin again somewhere new. I'm sad that Morgan left too. She was so smart. The class seems quite empty without them...
Otherwise, internship went well as usual. Brian was his usual pain. Bradley was his ADD self. Keith was his overly mature self. Jill and Sierra were as clingy as always. I feel bad still for Miguel. Bless his heart. He's so smart but completely tactless. He has so few friends. I did have to laugh today because Hailie asked for more homework. What kid does that? I kinda felt bad at lunch today too. Martha and Karla asked me if all adults were on a diet. I never really eat much for lunch there so it made me feel bad. I explained that I usually just don't get very hungry but that I'm not on a diet.
It was absolute HELL getting up this morning. Stupid people played piano last night for a long time. It wouldn't have been bad, but my bed shares the wall with the piano. And I was trying to sleep since I had to get up at 5:30 this morning. Didn't get to sleep until after 1:30. I did manage to take an almost 2 hour nap when I got back this afternoon though.
After the nap, I went over to Katie, Ben, and Kathryn's. Watched Flesh for Frankenstein (which Rocky Horror is extremely similar to) and ate brownies. So I remembered to eat today!
Despite all of the minor tragedies the day held though, I am still in an incredibly good mood. Even despite the fact that I am parked in HELL. In the tiny gravel lot that is across the street from Tower Village. It's so odd that my good mood has carried this far...I've ven felt like dancing. So I did.
