The article this time is really short, I promise. XD Sorry for the long delay, but here's chapter 2.
He talks a little bit more about REDEMPTION and the collaboration with FF7. ^^ I hope you'll enjoy the article~

XD I gotta say, Gackt's philosophical perspectives are very thought-provoking. I actually read this more than a few times to try and grasp the true meaning of his words. (.. well, and so that I won't leave ditzy comments...^^;)
The interviewer felt that Redemption was "hopeless, dejected, pained". I, on the other hand (and after reading C_sraed's translation XD), thought otherwise. To me the lyrics were meant to be a conveyance of power and encouragement, that we should live our lives every day with whatever it is that we have, even if it's not much, hacking through all the obstacles, until the day we pass on. In a sense, it sort of ties in to what Gackt previously said, that we should come up with the courage to cast our past away. We can rely on our own pasts to lend us the strength for our futures. So this stuff he's saying about life and living in the present makes quite a bit of sense to me. ;D (of course, without your translation nothing would make sense. XP;; *hugs*)
Believe it or not, I have the Redemption single but STILL haven't heard Longing yet. And I am very tempted to get off my lazy butt and grab the single. XD;;
"Eternal peace" - I think it exists. For us humans, we can't really describe our peace as "eternal", because that implies a VERY VERY long time. But for our own lifespan, yes, I think we can have our own peace, which I think consists primarily of our resolve to have peace. For each one of us, our peace are defined differently. But one thing is certain, in that we all have to work towards that peace. Despite the hectic schedules that make up my life at the moment, I can honestly say that I have found my place and my peace in this world. And it has to do with me and nobody else. And it's very wondrous feeling, and I want every one of my friends (and even those I don't know) to experience that one day. (.. and I have to wonder whether I am making sense XD;)
Have you seen previews of the FFVII ~DoC~? I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE GAME GETS RELEASED. And it will be perfect, my studies will be over and I can spend hours and hours and hours playing PS2!!!! RAWR~~~~!!! (<.<;; can you tell how sick I am of studying?..)
(.. here, LJ is complaining about the length of my reply. -___-\\ *keels LJ*)

On the subject of watching TV (or not) -- I've read what everyone else before has to say about this. Before I read your comments, I thought, well, what's wrong with watching TV??? As I moved on to your comments, and I thought, hmm, that's true too, a free soul has a great imagination indeed. Then I read juincoquine's comments, and I was very impressed by she said (ie, her reference to 'vampires')... very well-thought out, juincoquine's argument was, and she was trying to be my advocate. XD Hehe. j/k. Anyways, but then I also thought a little bit more about this, and I am inclined to agree with Gackt on not watching TV. The reason is that while watching TV brings you inspiration, it does not gift you with imagination. And I am interpreting inspiration as taking a pre-existing concept and expanding on it based on the artist's own views, and imagination as something that, well, basically comes out of the blue. XD Often I wonder how a person can become imaginative -- is it actually possible? Or is it something that some chosen ones are bornt with? *ponders* And I totally agree with you on the "copying" phase that you experiences. I find myself picking up on what vocabulary people around me would use, and then using that vocabulary in my conversations with others. It's so weird and unoriginal of me. -__-;;
One of these days, I gotta talk to Gackt about concentration, I totally have A.D.D. ;D
And is it me or did he say that a) there will be a new novel based on Diabolos and b) his tour is in the first half of 2006, which is 1/3 of the way over? XD;;
I don't think that "isolated geniuses" applies only to novelists. In some ways, it applies to artists of all genres, and even Gackt himself. An artist tries to convey his feeling/thought/opinion through his artwork. However, it may not be accepted or understood by anyone in this world. In this manner, an "isolated genius" is brought to life. I don't think of it as loneliness though; rather, I think it's a grand example of individualism, and in this age where trends are more valued over thinking-for-oneself, I very much admire those who hold up their own beliefs even if they are going against the current. This is also a form of risk-taking too, which again is an admirable act in itself.
And is it okay for me to wonder whether Gackt could be referring to Hyde for collaborations with other musicians? XD
I really like what you said about "believe". I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. TOTALLY. ;D Life becomes so difficult to handle once a person loses her belief. Nothing seems like it's possible. It's a very, very helpless situation that I don't want anyone to ever be caught in. T_T
.. in any case, this is your "punishment" for your trickery in saying that this is a short translation. XD XD

Bingo. ^^ Bring inspired is good, if it can inspire you to make something new. But even then, those are borrowed ideas and will be, more or less, affected by the original. Imaginative. It's just something that comes. @_@ For me, it comes when I draw. I start doodling and then an idea strikes me and I work on that. I don't think it's something you can MAKE happen; it comes when it chooses to come. Lucky folks they are who have had their fair share of that. X33
XD XD Me too~ I borrow words from people without really realizing.
XDDD Very good. He has been saying about the novel since some time ago though. I think the first time he mentioned it was for MOON is Back article in B=Pass. That was June last year. :D And for the second one... you'll hear more about that in Oricon which I've not translated yet. XD
Aah, when he said isolated up there, I believe he meant physically isolated from other people. :D They live alone and they don't hang out in society much. Though I can see the link with what you are saying here. It's always hard to make society accept new thoughts and ideas. :D And yeap, it takes great courage and confidence to stand up for it and MAKE it work.
Me neither. :/ It's hard to light the fire again once it has been completely extinguished. I know it sounds naive to think that way, especially to those who have been living a hard life. But I want to show them as well, that not everyone have their life easy. We get it good for some things, we pay it back in other ways. You gain some, you lose some.
Hey, I told you I'm innocent!! XD XD

Aah, I do see it the way he does. :D When I heard REDEMPTION, it just struck me as a sad sad song. :/ It's like losing everything and not caring what happens to him anymore. In all his songs, there is always a little hope. But one line of his struck me deep. "yasashii dake no kotoba nara, ima no boku wa iyasenai." Kind words alone cannot heal me. In his other songs, there would at least be something that the character is looking forward to. A memory of the past, a glimpse of the future. There is something But in this song, absolutely nothing. It is about losing everything and at the depths of misery. The only reason he is fighting is because of revenge and because he is the only one left. And if he is looking towards anything, it's his own death and final reunion with his love/comrade/friends again. So yeah. This song has got to be the saddest song in MOON to date. ;=;
Hahahaha, LONGING is brilliant~~ You should get it. *pokes* X33
*NODS NODS NODS* You totally described my feelings. ^^ The peace is finding your own self, finding peace in your heart. Only then will you be satisfied with your life. I have not found mine yet, but I think I've had a taste of it. A glimpse of it. And I'm working hard to find that again now. ^^
Yeah, I saw the previews. They are all so awesome. @___@ Hahahha, good luck with playing the game then!! ;)
