Fever...

Blah
Yesterday we had a big pig roast with some kids from Wisconsin that are studying in the next bay over. It was an authentic Tahitian meal, cooked in a real Tahitian oven, which consists of a hole in the ground with stones heated by fire. You put the fire out, keeping the stones hot, and put the food in, and cover the whole thing with leaves, and burry it with sand/dirt. Pretty cool.

I didn't feel well. My hands felt kinda cold, like they were falling asleep, same with my toes. I had worken up yesterday with a splitting headache, but had taken some tylenol so was good for most of the day. I guess it had started wearing off around 5, becuase I also kinda had a headache, and muscle aches.
I stayed hanging out with everyone until around 9, when I was so out of it, I decided to take more pain killers and a nap.
I fell asleep, and felt really warm and uncomfortable but didn't have the energy to move.
Josh and Jill and Sam came to wake me up at 10, I guess they were wondering where I had dissapeared to. They pretty much dragged me out of bed. I wanted to get up and join the festivities, but I felt so out of it.
They said I was really hot to the touch, and took my temp. It was 102.
Josh set me up in my room, took down my mosquito net cuz it gets really hot in there, gave me water and such, and put me to bed. Liz was also sick so we went to the doctor in the morning.
I still had a temp of 102.

Apparently I have a throat infectionn that is giving me a fever. Having a fever sucks. He also said that if I hadn't come in the infection would have spread and gotten much worse. Yuck.

My mallady however turned out to be greatly overshadowed by Liz's. She has dengue fever, also known as bone breaking fever because it feels like all of your bones are breaking. Also I get antibiotics and pain killers - Liz just gets pain killers and has to wait it out. You get dengue fever from mosquitos, so now everyone is super paranoid. Heh.

Oh, forgive my typos, I still have a low grade fever, and have slept something like 15 hours out of the last 24.

Good times in the tropics...
