I love it here so much :)

Yesterday was the most difficult lab of my life. I had to place clear tanks containing fish in front of a terrirorial damselfish to see how it would react. Doesn't seem that difficult, right? Well it becomes difficult when the weather is a little stormy, very windy with a VERY strong current. It was EXHAUSTING. It turned out to be a two and a half hour long snorkel, swimming to stay in place, swimming to exchange tanks with the other students, and swimming even harder to get back to where my fish was. Just to give you an idea of the strength of the current, towards the end, there was a moment where I was swimming as hard as I could, and I wasn't moving forward at all. I'm sure if we didn't have fins, we all would have been washed out to sea and drowned.

After that there was lunch - during which I had to write a paper, and read a paper. Followed by lecture and seminar. This was followed by volleyball and dinner, but the teams filled before I got out to play volleyball today, so I didn't get to play :(
It was all good though because I decided it would be a good oportunity to do some volleyball drawings. Josh is going to take some pics of them, and I'll be sure to post them when he does.

Today is a reading and research day (aka. no lecture), so we had an oportunity to party last night :) A couple LAME people didn't join, and perferred to hangout indoors and study (or sit and chat, I don't think there was much studying for some of them). But the rest of us had a super awesome amazing dance party in the farepote (a thatched roof over some benches and picinic tables). Lol, I've found out that I really love tequila. It makes me a little drunk - but not too drunk - and not sick :)
Not to mention Mike gives it to me for free ;)

Good times, good times.

Anyway as usual right now I am drowning in work, so I should probably get back to that. (We have a "no more than 10 page" paper due tommorow - whatever that means, probably at least 8 pages expected I'm guessing - about our damselfish project... fun fun)

Oh, but before I get back to boringness here are some firsts from last night:
- First time I played catch phrase with a professor
- First time I saw a professor of mine walk by saying "I need more booze"
- First time I played finger fencing with a professor - there was some intense finger fencing among others as well by the way (Josh sucks and I rule ;))
- First time I played the balance game (dunno what that is called - kinda like finger fencing... lock hands and plant feet, and try to knock the other person off balance, first one to move their feet loses)
- First time I did shots with a professor
- First time I had a professor press me for juicy gossip while drinking tequila
- First time I had a professor tell me he liked my hair (lol - good times)
