Cellars and Crosses

Each of us has underneath our ordinary personality, which we show to the public, a cellar in which we hide the refuse and rubbish which we would rather not see ourselves or let others see

An old religion teacher of mine sent that article to me, and I think I was at a point in time when I needed to read something like that. Lately my parents have ( Read more... )

hey sweetie! i think this is my first comment for you...lol.

well...i was the SAME way. like i know EXACTLY what you mean. i used to pray with my mom every morning in the car simply because she would yell at me if i didn't.

well i went on antioch my freshmen year and realized what i was missing. but i still wasn't ready for it. it took me until junior year to actually agree to TRY to follow the religion. and that's all it takes.

i'm reading a book (i dunno if you like reading, i'll get you a copy if you are interested) called "pierced by a sword" it's amazing. it's a fictional novel using true catholic teaching and near death experiences and scriptoral references...it's just an inspiring book. i've finally started praying...like really praying...which was always something i needed to work on (due to my mom's aggrevating introduction to praying that i already mentioned)

about the teachers at school...i'm not sure who you're talking about...i'm assuming eimmermen because a LOT of people have had problems with him this year especially. just open your heart to him. really...brown (the hot one) is AWESOME at explaining scripture and doctrine and tradition, so if you have any questions about whatever the teacher is saying...go to brown. if you don't know him, i'll introduce you (only if you want).

and about church...i was voted most spiritual out of the senior class, and there are still a TON of things i'm not sure about that the catholic church teaches. like gay marraige, for one. but when i go to church, the answers seem to just come to me. when i DON'T go to church, that's when i have more doubts throughout the week. i go to a catholic church that is directed towards teens- St. Max Lifeteen at 6pm on sundays till about 7:20. it's on hiatus and johnson right by the pines mall...it's actually a lot like a christian mass because it's a lot of fun. there's good music (not the old people singing psalms stuff) and he does like interesting homilies. i'd be glad to go with you, (if you are at all interested)...i'd even give you a ride the first time.

wanting something is the first step in getting anything...and it sounds like you want faith.

you're in my prayers...just let me know if i can do anything else for ya (i'd be glad to)

<3 Kimmy

geesh that was long...
