"Every night I had to kneel down infront of my bed and say my prayers, or else I wouldn't be able to have dessert the next day.."

.. thats not faith.. that's torture. i wouldv'e prayed every night had it gotten me dessert.

my mom never really pushed God onto me. sure, we went to church when i was little, but my whole family stopped going after my great grandmother passed away. my sister slept in sunday mornings, she felt relieved. my mom could do laundry before the machines were all taken. but i didn't know what to do. eventually, my sister went off to college, never to set foot in a church again, and my mom and i both had very separate ways of thinking. i started wakig her up at 730 every sunday to take me to church. sure, she fought me on it, but i fought back, which you know i'm good at. my faith has come from me, and my need to know the 'why's' of life and the 'what-happens' after life questions.

i hope you figure it our for yourself, because once you do, you won't regret it. and i'm here too. you can come to my youth group if you want to try something outside the catholic religion. (and you can meet jimmy and miguel!)
