I do really well with the whole staying on points/eating thing until dinner/night time and then I go crazy. DANGIT. Any tips or ideas to curb that? I mean the only thing I can think of is staying busy at night, but I don't know how I'll do that every night of the week ( Read more... )

At night is it the meal that gets you off track or snacks and stuff after? If it's snacks then if you can't stay busy or work on something (I have the habit of eating when I'm bored so I work with photoshop either on photos or graphic design projects when I start feeling like that) then keep healthier snacks around, always have some canned or frozen veggies you can pop in the microwave or I do popcorn with season salt so I'm not adding too much butter.

Also if the soreness continues you might want to tone it down and gradually work up to that level. Being able to complete something like that is a great feeling, but it can also put you out of commission a day or two to recover. If you gradually work up you can work on one set of muscles one day then another the next and it gives you a day to relax the other set so you can still work out everyday.

its just I eat until I'm stuffed. whereas during the day I have a lot of self control. It's ridiculous! hahaha. I'm a night eater so I save a lot of my points for nighttime anyways, but I still eat more than I have.

And yeah, I know :( The running was fine, I wasn't sore. It was the lifting (the squats and lunges) that got me -- and since I just started doing them, I think it's normal to expect muscle soreness?

Besides that, how the heck are you Miss Bradshaw!?

If it's snacking that's the problem then I can surely relate. I have, no joke, just stopped buying snacks. I have found that my laziness FAR exceeds my desire to eat when bored/tired/annoyed. I go through the "hmmm, food would be ok" and then when I realize I have none, that's pretty much it. Of course, sometimes I just make Nick go get tacos.

I have also found that taping photos in places -- not just on the fridge, but on boxes of Ritz crackers, for example -- definitely helps. Kind of cliche, but it helps. And not photos of gross uber-skinny models, but reasonable goals -- Anne Hathaway is pretty healthy looking mostly, Marishka Hargitay... healthy women who I'd like to look like. Makes you think twice. Or pictures of people working out, to remind you that, if you eat that, you're gonna hafta go running. Again, laziness rules.

I'm with ya on this, hon.
