(no subject)
Schtuff wot I have done recently:
- Had dinner with an old friend from university who I haven't seen in ages because he moved to Hong Kong after graduation. It's funny, it's been almost 10 years and yet he looks exactly the same. Anyway, yay for Facebook because otherwise I would never have gotten in touch with him again.
- Went to see The Bourne Ultimatum. As I told my sister later, it was Friday night, I had nothing to do, so I went to watch Matt Damon blow shit up. Good stuff.
- Went to Hamilton to hang out with my sister and BIL. We didn't have a very exciting evening, seeing as it involved ordering Chinese food and watching The Fifth Element (which I'd never seen, and seriously, that is one fucked-up movie), but it was good because I hadn't seen them in a while.
- Went to a BBQ at the ex-roomie's, because ditto on not having seen her and her family for a while. Her daughter's walking now (yay!) and is very cute; also thankfully they seem to have stopped putting her hair up into ridiculous pigtails on top of her head.
- Went to see another Toronto FC game, where they lost yet again, but at least we had fun because we were sitting in the rowdy stands at the south end of the stadium, with plenty of beer and several rousing choruses of "the referee's a wanker."
- Signed up to play dodgeball this fall. This could be fun, or it could be a disaster.
- Signed up for Lavalife (sort of the Canuckistani version of match.com or whatever). See above re: potential for fun vs. disaster.
- NOT called Dmitri back. Good for me.
It's September all of a sudden. How did that happen? It's still hot here but I'm starting to feel all nest-y, like I should be buying stuff to cozy up my apartment. Possibly this is just my ongoing shopaholicism rearing its spendthrifty head.
