This week's ep felt pretty darn meh to me. Just because Dylan Baker is available to do an ep doesn't mean they *have* to use him. And this just felt completely repetitive. Yep, Sweeney is a skeeve and he gives Alicia the heebie jeebies -- we know all this. Oh wow! And it turned out to be even worse than Alicia expected -- just like it always does.
Of course it's made worse by the fact that Alicia getting out of the cab in front of that house instantly called "Hybristophilia" to mind. I HATE YOU JM!!!
I so pissed at it all, that even things like a woman coming on to Alicia just made me more annoyed.
When Will died I thought they did such a great job for the immediate episodes afterwards and now I just feel ". . . " Even the fact that Alicia flat out misled her brother making it sound like her political marriage was a mutually agreed idea and that Peter was out there banging away raised no more than an eyebrow for me.
I mean I can't be the only one who looks at Alicia's life and thinks "MESS" and is waiting for the crash?
I guess maybe I can see her becoming insta friends with Finn (and it's very much on her side no?) to be a sign of the void but mostly just feel pissed that he's here. One advantage of killing off Will I thought (briefly) was one less regular. More time maybe for Kalinda, and sheesh, Cary might be in scenes a lot -- but he sure as shite isn't getting anything to do. "Year of Cary" my arse!
This is such a list of whinges I am going to do a second post about the rest of the season and speculation that technically could be considered spoilery if anyone wants to avoid it.
