The Missus and I were underwhelmed. I was really appreciating the emotional follow-through for all three female leads and this seemed so "moving on" in comparison to last week.

I guess if you were the sort of viewer who cheers Alicia's victories you'd enjoy this ep. I guess I'm not that viewer.

This seemed like a "tie up loose ends" episode to me and the problem with that is they tied up some stuff I was very into like the ongoing NSA plot so unspectacularly. Maybe we haven't seen the last of it in fact -- but that all of the potential damage the surveillance could inflict on every character can be undone by Peter being clever in a couple of phone calls at no cost to him or anyone else bugs the crap out of me.

Firm machinations are so repetitive at this point I'm not sure why they are bothering. I hope they're doing more than that with MJF because it seems to be a pretty universal response in fandom that we've seen it before.

Of course if all of this leads to some sort of coming together of the three women that includes Alicia and Kalinda actually interacting I will stop my bitching!

I am prepared to see Alicia be isolated for a few eps, but if we don't see any A/K interaction this year, especially now that the narrative screams for it, I think I will be forced to concede it will never happen.

I have lots of fic to write over hiatus, and maybe then this pair will leave my brain alone...

I'm hoping there's more of a plan for closing out the season than there appears to be after this week.
