new york!
so new york was actually really fun! although i was in new jersey for most of the time, it was right outside of new york, so im just going to call it that :P here's the details..
sunday - got to my brother's house around 930, sat around until he and jewels were ready, then we got everything together and drove to target where jewels found a bathing suit, luke found a soccer ball for mikey and we picked out a really funny card for his graduation.. on the front it said "tenderness" and then on the inside it was like "one touch can evoke a thousand words" or something like that then "lost in thoughts of you" so we bought everything and drove to south orange, nj to this park where the graduation party was and we signed the card in these really weird signatures so no one would be able to tell it was from us so then we went to the party and ate food, played bocce, volleyball and sat with melchie because he kept barking at the little kids. then anna showed up and jewels and i were basically pretending that we didnt see here there but then she came over and talked to us and we were like heyyy! man i hate her. then it started to rain really hard, so we went back to mikey's house where he and his friends played some music and we talked on the porch and finally he went to open his cards.. he got to our card and the envelope had hearts all over it and jewels kissed the back with her lipstick so he picked the card up, and the best part was that anna was sitting right next to him collecting his money or whatever and her reaction to the card was just priceless.. she was like what is this?? and then she just wouldnt let it go the entire night.. she kept showing it to everyone and then she would be like "i just cant get over this," or "who's your secret admirer mikey?" and stuff like that so we decided not to tell mike that it was from us because it was just too entertaining to watch her freak out over it when they werent even dating anymore. so then when everyone was ready to leave me, luke, jewels and dale all went over doug's house (my brother's uncle) and we ordered some pizza, then went to bed.
monday - we all got up and got ready, then drove to splish splash, supposedly one of the best water parks in the us or something.. and that was a long drive, i slept most of the way.. it was on long island so that was pretty cool because I had never been there before.. it was me, luke, jewels, dale, mikey, anna, and mike's friend cameron.. it was fun, they had some cool rides and stuff, although the food wasnt good at all and we waited half an hour to get it and it was cold and crap i was kinda pissed but yeah anna was being all "sad" like she was forcing herself to cry and then she kept acting like she and mikey were still dating and we were just getting fed up with her and then we left and had to go to this little gas station place so we could get some food for the ride home and go to the bathroom, then im waiting for the bathroom and anna comes up to me and starts saying how confused she is and stuff about mikey and i felt rude not asking why so i asked and she started saying the whole story and i was like that sucks.. but yeah then we drove home and we went back to doug's house and ate some vietnamese food which i wasnt too crazy about.. the chicken and rice were good but everything else i wasnt excited about. then we all went to sleep haha
tuesday - the fourth of july! we drove to liberty park and took the ferry to ellis island which was actually pretty cool.. i found the records of my great great grandfather which was really interesting and we got to learn a lot about our ancestors and stuff.. then we took the ferry to the statue of liberty where we all took pictures together, then went into the statue but ever since 2001 they dont let anyone go to the top, so we could only go to the top of the pedestal but there was this whole museum in there that gave info on the statue and how it came to be and all this stuff which was really cool.. then after that we went back to liberty park and sat around and ate, looked at the clouds, played games and listened to the concert, then there were some fireworks which were supposed to be the best in the country, but i've seen better.. then we were walking back to the car and more fireworks started going off so we walked back to the park and watched them.. they were better than the first ones.. then we went back to the car again and we got in and there was a lot of traffic trying to get out of the parking lot, and we were sitting in the car for an hour and a half in the parking lot waiting to get out and we found out that they shut down the nj turnpike which wasnt good because that was why no one was moving and all day luke and mikey were trying to avoid finding out about the soccer game, but we turned on the news radio to find out about the traffic and they said that italy had beaten germany and luke freaked out he was so upset i felt bad.. but yeah then we got back to doug's and went to sleep
wednesday - mikey came over and we watched the germany/italy game because luke had taped it while we were in ny and we saw germany lose which was sad, but jewels was happy, i personally didnt care who won, then we watched the france/portugal game and i wanted portugal to win but of course they didnt, and now i must say that i want italy to win the world cup because i dont like the french. after the games i took a nap and then we got ready and picked up mel from mike's house and started home.. when we got home we watched some vampire movie that was on tv, and then we went to bed.
today - i finally got to sleep in, although mel kept waking me up because he was whining and hitting me with his nose haha and then luke came home from doing something and we watched press your luck, then the newlywed game came on and jewels and luke actually played which was fun to see how well they knew each other and then we watched the love connection, and finally i was like well i better get going, so i drove home and here i am! tonight i have work from 7-close with some awesome people.. so yeah, it should be fun, and everyone should come visit!
