Quite frankly you are MUCH braver than I will ever be. I am afraid of basically all things found in nature that fly, crawl, slither or scrabble on walls!
I don't mind a lot of nature stuff, as long as it respects my comfort bubble. ;D But tell me, have you ever, ever had a bird poop on you? It is no fun. It is like, total lack of fun. :S
My god, I'm so with you on the bug hate. I am one of those people that whacks the bug about a hundred times with the hard-soled shoe, the entire time making those weird little "uh uh uh" noises. And there's always some loser who deadpans, "Um, I think it's dead". Overreaction? Maybe, but it wasn't YOU it was trying to crawl on, now was it?
Ladybugs are just gross. They *stick to the skin*. I hate flapping my arm (with the aforementioned "uh uh uh" noise) and the thing just STICKS there. Also, moths and butterflies are bad. Up down sideways backwards... there's no predicting which way they're going to fly.

Ewww, yeah. I visited some hollers in Eastern Ky once, and there was a ladybug epidemic going on. We'd gone up to the top of this hill to look at an old cemetery, (genealogy stuff, y'know), and there were swarms of ladybugs. You couldn't leave the car without them flying around, landing on you, crawling across the camera lens... I finally just couldn't take it and had to lock myself in the car while the others tried to look around. The ladybugs were crawling all over the car windows, and a few of them had gotten inside with me and were buzzing around...
Ahem. Sorry. Trauma. :S Also, I think they hold on to your skin by pinching with their little feet. Sometimes they pinch so hard it feels like they bite you. Ladybugs are creepy little fuckers.
I'd be throwing bricks/any object I could lay my hands at it. Then again, the only bug I'm not afraid of is the ant, and only when there's only one. More than that and I'm screaming for daddy.

See, I would too, but I find that whenever I try to shoo something away or hit something, especially frightening bugs, they inevitable come towards me instead. And, gah.
Bwee, you are so nice! Hi to you too! This is probably the weirdest time to say so, but I'm kind of shy in larger fandoms, so I don't remember if I ever told you that I love your stories. And that "Your Kingbird" is absolutely brilliant. Because, you know, it is. :D
... Grblflx, sorry :S. I am trapped in a very *I LOVE EVERYONE* sort of mood (which is apparently triggered by posts of this sort). You have no idea how much it is freaking me out; possibly as much as/even more than the bug freaked you out.
Also! Worms and centipedes and spiders rather squick me. I blame the inculcation from when I was an impressionable, innocent child for this. And I despise ants, because they are all over everywhere here. I swear, I must be the only person living in a place where ants invade and colonise the CLOCKS. :|:|
omg I missed you too! And I am sorry that my post freaked you out. The bug is gone now! :S

Oh wow. That's scary. Well, I have lots of little tiny spiders that live in my bathroom, does that count? And my house used to be infested with biting ants when I was little. I would wake up covered in welts, and the ants would not go away, not for years, then all of a sudden we didn't have a problem with them anymore. They all disappeared.
Anyway, I don't really trust anyone who hasn't had some sort of bug trauma. It's like never trusting a man with two first names. :)
Oh good, that means you are now safe from the bug *is relieved*. Your post was lovely though, it was my *!loves everyone!* thing that was freaking me out the most. Now that, that was scary :SS.
then all of a sudden we didn't have a problem with them anymore. They all disappeared.
!! Thank you for this hope. Now, if only these ants would disappear soon.
