my stuff to talk about

Well, this past week was pretty scary. I got into a car accident on 285 leaving work and we were really fortunate that no one was hurt. My car is probably totaled; as of right now it's sitting in a storage facility in Atlanta awaiting being towed to Toyota Mall of Georgia to be appraised by my insurance company. You know how on 285 it goes very quickly from 40 mph to stop to 40 mph to stop? It was a 3 car accident and unfortunately I was the one sandwiched in the middle. The girl who hit me and I both got ticketed for following too closely, but the cop told the girl I hit not to show up in court so the charges against the two of us would get dropped and the only ones who would have to deal with this are the insurance companies. How can you help but follow too closely on 285; even if you try to leave space in front of you someone pulls into it anyway! I thank God everyday that no one was injured because this accident could have been very, very bad. Especially since it was in the middle lane of 285E and cars were whizzing by and yelling/honking at us while we were still in shock and our cars were smoking. I woke up with neck pain a couple of days later but that was as serious as it got. It's a small world; the girl who hit me from behind is actually good friends with the guy I work with, Scott. So of course he had to call her up and talk some crap. She was so sweet. She said she's going to call me the day we have to go to court so we can meet up and go to lunch or something :) At least the people involved in the accident had insurance and spoke english. All the rest of the week I tried to work lots of overtime so I could stall leaving and possibly miss evening traffic.

Last weekend I went to see Wedding Crashers for the second time and when we got there, they started playing Bad News Bears for about 10 mins, but they quickly fixed it, so when we left the theater, they handed out readmission tickets. I hope there's something good out this weekend so I can use that!
