Pain Can Cease to Exist

Ah, man, the Yankees are a disappointment. It was so painful to watch the game last night.  As the game wore on, we were slowly slipping away, and that horrible collision between Bubba Crosby and Gary Sheffield sealed the deal.  I knew it was over from that point on.  I'm now a believer in some premonitions.  It's ok.  But it still pains me, and I wont be seeing my husband for another couple of months again.  Woe is me.

I HAD MY ROOT CANAL TODAY!  Yeeha!  I was so nervous going in, let me tell u.  I was shaking as if a banshee had scared me out of my wits.  I waited about 45 minutes before I actually saw the endodontist, and that tilted me off the rocker even more.  When I actually got inside the room, it so wasnt that bad.  I did internally freak out when I saw all the instruments that were in the room.  I was like, Oh, Lord, this is the real deal.  He shot me up with two shots of novacaine, and man, it was smooth sailing from there on.  For the majority of the time, man, I was praising the Good Lord above for drugs like NOVACAINE.  I mean, I was really praising him.  As he was grabbing this instrument, and that instrument to do what he had to do to my tooth, my eyes would slightly widen in subdued fear, but then....then, I thought about how the novacaine was working sooo well...like a sweet treat shooting straight up from my feet.  I mean, how amazing is it for the endodontist to do all that to your tooth (drilling, digging, plying, more digging, cleaning, sticking with unfamiliar gadgets) and you not feel a darn thing? I mean, isnt that AMAZING?!  Justin, I so agree with u: WITH NOVACAINE, PAIN DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My doc did prescribe me some painkillers though because the pain will prolly come after the novacaine wears off.  I'm ready.  With pain, I'm learning that we have to deal at some point in our lives with it, so why not deal?

Unfortunately, the good ol endodontist told me I would also have to have my two bottom wisdom teeth pulled because they're partially under the gum, and partially exposed.  He said there is room for infection if they're not pulled.  Another feat I have to emerge from.  Oh, well.  I think about it this way.  In about a month, all will be fine.  Ha!
