Money gone wrong...and then some.

Well, my site manager came back today, flu and all.  However, she said she was feeling much better and that the fatigue disappeared. Whoop dee doo!  I had my fifth grade class again today, and I think I will be able to stick with them until the end of this cycle.  Yay! Finally, with four days left in the fall cycle of the program, there's some consistency!  My kids were a little out of control today.  They were acting very silly, playing around, being lazy about the homework, and more.  I decided to be lenient with them today because our lesson plans were cloudy because I hadnt had them for so long and had to get a feel of where they were with the literature.  It was frustrating because some of them had already finished the selected text, while others in a different group were only halfway through, so we'll have to back track for the next couple of days.  I blame my site manager for that.  She's the one who kept jostling me around in the different grade groups, not enabling myself to get used to any particular class or grade.

Speaking of my site manager, I found out today that Ms. Shavers has not received her paycheck for our last pay period.  Also, one of the school aides that helps out in the BELL after school program hasnt gotten paid for a MONTH! Can u believe that?! The school aide helps us so much in our program, especially assisting my site manager with getting her act together because my site manager has so much things to do that her head is spinning.  This school aide gets the tutors and teachers copies of the text, runs errands for my site manager and more.  And she hasnt gotten paid in a month?! Oh no!  That aint right!  My site manager is responsible for getting our time sheets to BELL Headquarters so they can process it.  What's going on?!  How come that little task is being screwed up?  Obviously, someone is not doing their part. So the school aide and Ms. Shavers are both understandably unhappy, and have asked my site manager what the deal is,  but it doesnt seem like she has a lot of answers for them.  All I know is that there will be questions about missing paychecks at tomorrow's staff meeting.

I got two job interviews...I got a call today from Hearts & Minds, a non-profit organization that reaches out to the homeless, rape victims, etc and also raising awareness for these topics.  I applied for the copywriting internship position.  It's unpaid, but the experience would be awesome for what I want to do.  Blarg.  I have to call the lady back today because I wasnt in when she called yesterday.  The second one is an interview for a College Advisor position with Comprehensive Development, Inc.  This organization helps provide support for students going to a school they set up for immigrants, teen parents, and more.  The contact guy e-mailed me and asked if I was still interested, and if so, to set up an interview with him.  I e-mailed him and told him the 13th, this coming Monday, would work. So hopefully that will work out.  I'm happy because now it seems like jobs are starting to notice me more and see my resume for what it is.  I'll keep ya'll posted.
